Partnering with The Goodtimes Project
We're so excited to announce that we have partnered with The Goodtimes Project, a non-profit organization based on Vashon Island. The Goodtimes Project provides a week long, no cost camp called Camp Goodtimes for children affected by cancer and aims to help them experience the joy of just being a kid. Part of our mission is to enrich the quality of life of children and young adults going through cancer treatment and we feel that The Goodtimes Project is a great match for our next donation. At our annual auction this year, we were able to donate $6,000 to The Goodtimes Project. This money went towards Camp Goodtimes and is the equivalent of the cost for 3 kids to attend camp for a week, plus $900 towards medical and art supplies.
Additionally, Mary (Mary-Keeta), Greg (Piano Man), Sara (Junebug), and Kelly (Pickles) were fortunate enough to attend skit night at Camp Goodtimes in June and July. They were given camp names, enjoyed an alien dinner (spaghetti with no utensils), learned the famous Choogie dance, and saw what an incredible and special place Camp Goodtimes is.
Thank you again to our wonderful donors who make moments like this possible and thank you to The Goodtimes Project for letting us experience the joy of Camp Goodtimes. We couldn't think of a better fit towards fulfilling our mission!
